New season; new look… and new faces in key places.
Take a look at what’s new.
This website is for you, the club's members - and for people interested in bowls or who would like to find out more.
Pride trumps disappointment as we bow out of the Edward Rowland
Our Edward Rowland Cup side went oh so close in an enthralling second-round tie at Southwick Park, losing on the extra end after staging a comeback to tie 10-10 after18.
Neville, Mark Gooch, Bill and Mark Howell all bowled extremely well to stay in contention throughout a low-scoring but high-quality match, just hours before hosting Sussex Vice Patrons in our annual friendly.
And despite playing against some of the cream of Sussex's male bowlers, we achieved one of our biggest wins of the season - winning four of the five rinks matches to hand the VPs a rare defeat at Beech Hurst. Score details under the Fixtures and Results tab.
There is still no word from the organisers of the Tom Francis competition, after we agreed a rescheduled date to play Newick in the home-and-away knockout contest.
Newick, who beat Hurstpierpoint in the first round, instantly agreed a new date for our second-round fixture, which clashes with the Carrow Cup.
But the competition organiser has referred our request to Mid Sussex League officers, and nearly a week on, we are still awaiting the outcome.
It is provisionally set for the evening of July 2 (precise time to be confirmed).
Check back here for news once we hear back from the league.

Not quite a washout
Congratulations and thanks to the hardy souls from the club who hosted our second open day of the season in wet and windy conditions on Saturday.
And perhaps even bigger congratulations to those brave people who still turned up, despite the dire weather forecast.
Around half a dozen visitors enjoyed some time on the green - and tuition from our three coaches, Anne, Jill and Bob - while our captain, Jill and many more members came along to play their part, and Tina and co ensured everyone was fed.
Rumour has it we already have a new recruit as a result.
The open days are a great way of introducing the curious and the doubtful to the game - many of us joined as a result of trying it out on our green.
Although we haven't been blessed with the greatest of weather at either of our events this summer, both went ahead and our numbers boosted as a result.
You don't have to wait until next year's open days if you want to find out more. Anyone interested in joining is most welcome to contact us for more information and a chance to try it out with one of our coaching team.
