Semi-final time
Our Tom Francis semi-final against Buxted Park is this Sunday.
Having enjoyed a dramatic victory in our previous match, against Newick, our new generation of bowlers have a chance to add to our club's rich history against some of the finest bowlers in the county.
The competition - which has presented a number of administrative obstacles for us, let alone the challenges on the green - is played on a home-and-away basis, with one rink played at one club and the other, simultaneously, at the other.
Four of our team are due to play the same afternoon in our home friendly against Burgess Hill.
The teams would welcome supporters at both venues. The matches start at 10am.

Mid Sussex team still in the running
Unexpectedly encouraging news for our Mid Sussex League team after their narrow defeat against Horsham Park on Tuesday.
Although we won two of the three rinks, we lost by one shot overall, threatening to cut us off from the top three.
But in an unexpected turn of events, all three sides above us also had unexpected setbacks, meaning we are still in the leading pack as we enter the second half of the season.
St Francis, the previous league leaders, also lost by one shot - to Crawley Town, meaning they picked up just two points from their one rink win.
They're replaced at the top by Henfield, who - amazingly - also won by a single point, but lost on two of the three rinks, so collected only six points.
They beat Isle of Thorns, who lie third. They picked up four points, like us, so we remain two points behind them, having played the same number of games.
Division Three table after the July 7 matches:
Played Shot difference Points
1) Henfield 7 39 46
2) St Francis 8 49 44
3) Isle of Thorns 6 55 42
4) Haywards Heath & BH 6 23 40
5) Crawley Town 8 -44 31
6) Southgate Park 6 -16 26
7) Horsham Park 7 -106 11
